Regular microfiber vs. Green Mitt Split-Technology Microfiber

Not all microfiber is created equal. As a general rule, the finer the microfiber thread, the more absorbent it will be. Most microfibers are roughly 1/100the thickness of a human hair! The Green Mitt fibers are manufactured to an ultra-fine 1/200 thickness of a human hair, then split, creating a filament with wedges and sharp edges that increase their efficiency at trapping fine particles.

Some of my fabrics say ‘Dry Clean Only’. Is the Green Mitt system safe for them?

For most fabrics, it’s recommended to use a low-moisture, water-based cleaning method like the Green Mitt Kit. We designed it to work without harsh chemicals or detergents with a neutral pH that stabilizes dyes and helps prevent color bleeding. However, because ‘Dry Clean Only’ fabrics can react unpredictably to any moisture, we always recommend performing a spot test in an inconspicuous area first.

Is it safe for kids and pets?

Yes! For those who prioritize using safe, non-toxic cleaning products that actually work, the Green Mitt Kit stands alone for soft surface cleaning.

Can the Green Mitt Kit remove set-in stains?

While it will effectively remove everyday spots, spills, and soils; old chemically bonded stains can be permanent and therefore the Green Mitt Kit may not be 100% effective.

How long does it take my fabric to dry after using the Green Mitt Starter Kit?

Since the Green Mitt Starter Kit is a low-moisture system, regular drying time when used as directed is approximately 1-2 hours in most climates.
